The Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art is dedicated to storing artworks so that they can be preserved for future enjoyment and use.
mowna's collection consists of art that is shared digitally with the museum by the artists we curate.
The collection is visible to members only. It is a resource of digital art for the world to use for education, enjoyment, and research.
All artists in the collection receive a lifelong membership to the museum and its collection.
The collection currently features the first four exhibitions of the Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art.
The Opening Show which ran from January 8 through April 29, 2021 includes work such as a mini zoom Opera, Jazz Bass Quartet, Interactive Multimedia, a variety of Dance Films, an Interactive Poetry Generator, Experimental Photographs, Video Art, Gifs, Computer Generated Artwork, Animated 360 video, and an archived live performance.
The 2021 Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art Biennial was exhibited from April 30 through September 22, 2021. It is an exhibit of an international pool of artists selected from 44 countries gathered through a free call for submissions process that ran from January through March of 2021. The Biennial includes all forms of art made from 2019 to 2021.
"This Show is Curated by a Machine 🤖" answers the Whitney Museum of American Art's curatorial question, "The Next Biennial Should Be Curated by a Machine." The show is curated by an artificial intelligence.
The mowna NFT Show featured artworks from the 174 artists that were exhibited in mowna's first year. 1/1 NFTs on OpenSea. Current international artists. Wide range of artistic mediums. Innovative new technologies, experimenting in the art and museum space, and paying artists for their work.
